For over 10 years MAYA TAQUERIA has proudly served authentic Mission-style Mexican food to the people of Brooklyn, New York. As family owned restaurants, the brand’s story and history played an integral part in their initial brand development and restaurant design. Dedica was hired to refresh, modernize and evolve the branding while maintaining the integrity of the brand’s heritage and legacy. One of the most important factors was ensuring that the loyal customer base still felt connected to and familiar with the new look of their favorite local taqueria.

ABOUT PROJECT

Dedica developed a new brand identify, including logo, color palette and typefaces, and activated the new look via business cards and stationary, website, in-store menu boards and more.

The new branding was then leveraged to refresh the interiors of all restaurants, part of which was done in partnership with a local artist that hand painted logos and patterns.
We also developed and launched an online campaign to announce the new look and feel of the restaurants via a sweepstakes that offered a chance to win free burritos for a year. The campaign was supported via social, email and print elements with submission through a promotional landing page.

The Brand Book...

The Brand Book...

As part of the overall Maya Taqueria brand development project, Dedica was tasked with building out a comprehensive visual identity system for the brand which took the form of a brand book. The book is used as a guide for any future creative driven brand decisions.
