As the newest New York City marina in decades, ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina is one of the city’s most visible waterfront revitalization projects, yet aims to casually blend into its Brooklyn neighborhood. Dedica crafted the marina’s localized identity with the intention of seamlessly uniting the global ONE°15 Marina brand with its new Brooklyn home.

The design objective was to build upon the success of an international brand – ONE°15 from Singapore – and create a unique, local identity that embodied the localization and authenticity of Brooklyn.

Dedica developed a branding system utilizing bold typography, symbols and black and white imagery to create an identity that reflects the global success of the ONE°15 Marina brand, captures the encompassing Brooklyn aesthetic and shines against its competitors.  Graphic mechanisms, like hidden word search, weave the marina into its surroundings, as well as highlight community and marina services, creating a fun and engaging identity that appeals visually and stimulates interest.
